چکیده
Machining is a manufacturing process that can be used to produce precision machine parts and has many advantages. The first the ability achieve superior surface quality. Tool wear an inevitable phenomenon occurs during machining. It affected by machining conditions; therefore, this needs monitored controlled. In study, tool roughness tests were carried out on AISI 4462 duplex stainless-steel materials, known hard-to-cut material. For purpose, analyses implemented using environmentally friendly vortex tube cooling system in addition wet turning conditions for time. both methods, experiments conducted at 1 mm depth of cut, 120 m/min cutting speed, 0.1 mm/rev feed with 90 length each pass. Both examined end analysis showed gave better results terms life (19.8 minutes life) compared 11.1 turning. contrast, values differed up two times some experiments, all passes. addition, less built-up-edge (BUE) formation than wet-turning experiments.

Local Approach to Fracture of an Aged Duplex Stainless Steel
The local approach to fracture (LAF) is a methodology aimed to calculate macroscopic fracture properties of a body, from the knowledge of the local stress strain field at the fracture site, and the modeling of the acting fracture mechanisms. In the present work, this method was applied to a CF8M steel, aged 30000 h at 325 °C, in order to elucidate if LAF could be able to describe the measured f...
متن کاملOn machining of hardened AISI D2 steel with PCBN tools
This paper describes an experimental investigation on machining of a difficult-to-cut material, AISI D2 steel of hardness 62 HRC with PCBN tools. It was found that the most feasible feeds and speeds fall in the ranges 0.08–0.20 mm/rev and 70–120 m/min, respectively and that most of the tested PCBN tools reached the end of life mainly due to flank wear. The highest acceptable values of tool life...

Surface texturing-plasma nitriding duplex treatment was conducted on AISI 316 stainless steel to improve its tribological performance. Tribological behaviors of ground 316 substrates, plasma-nitrided 316 (PN-316), surface-textured 316 (ST-316), and duplex-treated 316 (DT-316) in air and under grease lubrication were investigated using a pin-on-disc rotary tribometer against counterparts of high...

Abstract A wide variety of cutting fluids are commercially available in the cutting fluid suppliers in order to provide machining performances for a number of industries. In machining, mineral, synthetic and semi-synthetic cutting fluids are widely used but, recently, uses of vegetable based cutting fluids have been increased. Although, these cutting fluids are beneficial in the industries, the...
